lil love rhyme

Glass of water to drink whilst I’m in the pool,
eating seafood whilst I’m by the sea.
Smoking green to get my high on the plane.
Countless endeavours
give pain and pleasure
Love is likewise
irony.
All the same.

"Would you let me climb inside your mind,
For windows use your eyes,
If I told you I was blind?"

— Richard kolapo

"I used to have Peace, serenity, teaching divinity Break bread, sipping the blood, eating with enemies Blind, pearl on my mind thinking we fittin’ to be This, that, and the third Boy did I learn, tables turn Billy holiday burned down to play when my nerves drowned my folks away Swerving in the locomotive, far from my hopes and motives Back to boasting at shows to get a standing O From all the fans I know on some of that Sapphire rapid fire soul stuff I used to hit ‘em off with But now I’m some ol’ “pay the toll” for the way I played the role Cautious when I lace a flow, cause, pose? think I’m painting codes Patience grown thin, home sick and haven’t been home since Fuck a rapper, I’m an actor in a film called: “Leave me the fuck alone until I find a real job” Busting chrome grills off at these soft hearted breakbeats bouncing with 808’s and gray ink Blue heart, red skies, true art died in the heart of my mind Kept trying to fulfill this, blank scribbled realness, even if it kills this Poet inside"

Love, love is a verb
Love is a doing word
Fearless on my breath
Gentle impulsion
Shakes me, makes me lighter
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

Nine night of matter
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my…

Water is my eye
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath
Teardrop on the fire
Of a confession
Fearless on my breath
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

You’re stumbling down
You’re stumbling down

Some people have got eyes but they cant see. Hes got lungs but an ocean of emotions. How might the man breathe?

"The Space of Love is never singular but is filled with the interpenetrating presence of the other"

— William A. Sadler

Unfinished Poem #

You been away sometime

Your side of the sink been bare for sometime

Left A half pack of wrigleys

Is the rest for me?

Have the bits & pieces that remain of yours

 Been left for me?

Your side of my desk still holds your

Half sipped juice

& the bowl of fruit

Of which I only reach for

To hand to you.

I can afford to buy more

But I’d rather you just came by more

So as not to waste

Sweet red blooded grapes

Turn to a bitter taste

You oft run in to trouble but

You’re never late.

Now I’m here with a pen and pad

Writing.

Wishing i could have you back

Heart skips around like an old vinyl

I say I need my space but I don’t mind you.

Love making.

Stay patient.

In vain.

On my ones.

still waiting.

What a shame.

"Come in"

Sit down on my crumpled covers

 Hair over your shoulder

Sunkissed by a brief summer.

Smiling like you used to

Come back

Being away is something

I can’t get used to.

Whenever I’m writing poetry to a beat I always find myself talking about a girl that doesn’t exist. Sometimes I picture someone but I don’t feel that way about them

The Appeal

& this is just how I feel

In its rawest form.

Fresh from the soil

I had time to think

& I was reminiscing thinking

About the the better things at a better time.

When we both knew what it meant to

Just be.

More than lines more than rhymes.

Mercurial feelings.

Change like the sea tide.

My insides like a cave ornamented

In the most ostentatious of luxuries.

Take this poem as the address

Enter through the first verse.

& take time to admire the décor in the arrangement

This place was built for us

But I only just

Got

Time

To make Love.

Appeal to us.

Spark Your Mind

Spark your mind.

Start a fire.

Burn.

Don’t park your mind.

Cruisin’ in 5th gear your engine ain’t even on half the time.

You should try to match half my grind.

Take my every word into your system.

Sniff my lines, sippin brain juice.

Society tried to tame you.

& you gave in but I don’t blame you.

Maybe that’s just how they made you.

Cut all your edges off & tried to fucking frame you.

Could of been something, could have been the link that broke off the fucking chain.

But that’s all done now.

You’ll remain like carbon copies of a CD

All the fucking same.

Twice upon a time there was a boy who died twice
and lived happily ever after but that's another chapter
live from home of the brave with dirty dollars
& beauty parlors & baby bottles & bowling ball Impalas
& street scholars that's majoring in culinary arts
You know how to work bread cheese & dough
from scratch but see the catch is you can get caught
Know what ya sellin' what ya bought so cut that big talk
Let's walk to the bridge now meet me halfway
now you may see some children dead off in the pathway
it's them poor babies walkin' slowly to the candy lady
It's lookin' bad need some hope
like the words maybe, if, or probably more than a hobby
when my turntables get wobbly they don't fall
I'm sorry y'all I often drift I'm talkin' gift
so when it comes you never look the horse inside it's grill
of course you know I feel like the bearer of bad news
Don't want to be it but it's needed so what have you
Now question is every nigga with dreads for the cause?
Is every nigga with golds for the fall? Naw
So don't get caught in appearance
it's Outkast Aquemini another Black experience Okay.
Untitled #3

I don’t know how to kiss

But I can hug you with my lips

Indicate the number to your phone

Via  gyration of the hips.

I will do the same.

Twist & turn  around your frame.

Then use your fingers on my chest to spell out  first

& mothers maiden name.

Then I will say say ‘see you soon’

You’ll say ‘see you later’

Then i’ll spend hours retracing your movements

to get your information down on paper.

Right Above It

I’m 10 flights above you

That’s the top floor.

I’m perched on the ledge of the window.

So I can see more

I see your exit & entrance.

Your in & outs of each door.

What you left behind

Things your yet to find.

I can anticipate the backstabbing, karma, love & drama

Silently spectating.

Noting, analysing, reflecting.

I sit there

Right above it.

The Reason

I want to be

The one you think of first

When the rain stops

I want to be the only name

To show up at your inbox.

The reason your phone bills high

The reason you stay up, late nights.

I want to be your voice of reason

The accent of your thoughts.

The one person you put up with when you can’t take it anymore.

The one you that makes you believe things

just because he’s around.

I want to be the last face that you see

before you fall asleep and dream.

You are the first thought when I wake

The reason I’m always late.

The one I will want run to should my heart ever break.

You are my one and always.
